LICENSED FACILITIES

District of Columbia law requires the licensure of facilities that provide services to four or more unrelated individuals with MRDD. In a licensed setting, a specific provider holds the license to operate the facility for a specific number of individuals at a specific location. Holding the license means that the provider of the housing is the same as the provider of the services received by the individuals who live there.
