Branch Avenue and Bangor Street,
to 34th Street, round a circle.
right on Highview Terrace, round
another circle, right on Denver,
and right on Branch Avenue
This walk is about .7 miles.
This is a wonderful "slice" of
Hillcrest, one of Washington's
great, established neighborhoods.
If you have time, wander at will
along the quiet streets of this
charming part of town.
The sidewalks are intact and all the corners have curb cuts.
Feel free to park anywhere on the side streets--not Branch. |
Driving from downtown, take Pennsylvania Avenue east, cross the Anacostia and proceed to Branch Avenue at the Penn Branch Shopping Center. Take a right and go another 1/2 mile to Bangor.
