Washington's Wonderful Little Walks and Rolls
(U Street)
U Street, NW
between 9th and 16th Streets

Round-trip, this walk is a
little over one mile.
All of a sudden, this is one
of the coolest places in DC.

See shops, condos, historic
Lincoln Theater, jazz clubs,
Ben's Chili Bowl and other
restaurants.
The sidewalks are generally OK. You may run into construction and have to detour.

All the corners have curb cuts.

Park at meters on U Street or on side streets.
Take Metro to U Street/African American Civil War Memorial/Cardozo on the Green line. This station exits on U Street and you can pick up the walk there.

For public transportation options, visit Metro at http://www.wmata.com and use the Trip Planner.
