(Stanton Park and 11th Street, NE)
From Stanton Park at Massachusetts
Avenue, between 4th and 6th Streets,
NE, east on Massachusetts Avenue to
11th, left on 11th Street, right
on "Park," right on 12th, proceed
one and one-half blocks to Lincoln Park.
The walk described above is one mile.
The walk back to Stanton Park is
another one-half mile.
Stanton Park is surrounded by
offices, a church and a school.
Massachusetts Avenue, 11th
Street and 12th Street are
characterized by stately homes
and beautiful old trees.
"Park" is a little gem few people
ever see. It is only a block long
with wonderful, old clapboard
houses on both sides of the street.
The sidewalks are older but Ok for wheelchairs. All corners have curb cuts. "Park" has a bit of an incline.
The further you get from Stanton Park, the easier it is to park. Pick this walk up anywhere along the way. |
Take Metro to Union Station on the Red line.
Union Station is on Massachusetts Avenue.
Walk four blocks east on Massachusetts Avenue to Stanton Park.
